Boston Red Sox outfielder Che-Hsuan Lin stretches during workouts at the team's spring training complex in Fort Myers, Florida, March 1, 2012.

With Boston Red Sox centerfielder Jacoby Ellsbury heading to the disabled list, it’s quite possible that we could get another round of Linsanity but obviously not from Jeremy Lin.

Instead, it’ll be Che-Hsuan Lin who will be called up from the Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox according to Alex Speier of WEEI.com who confirmed the news through Lin’s agent.

Ellsbury just tweeted that he subluxed his right shoulder, which means that he has a partial dislocation. He also said there is no timetable as of right now for his return.

With Lin’s call up from the PawSox, he’ll give the Red Sox four outfielders on the 25-man roster. The others being Cody Ross, Darnell McDonald and Ryan Sweeney. It’s quite possible that Lin will have the best arm in the outfield judging by this throw he had last year.

Lin is off to a slow start with the PawSox as he is just 3-for-20 to start the season.

With Carl Crawford not expected back right away after another setback earlier in the week, Lin will definitely see some playing time in the outfield. How much though depends on how Bobby Valentine wants to use him.
