After a rain-shortened game on Saturday night, the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays are back out to the field just twelve hours after last night’s 9-1 Red Sox win at Fenway Park. The two teams will play a separate admission doubleheader today.

The first game of the doubleheader is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m. and the game will be televised on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the Rays television market, you can catch the game on Sun Sports. And if the television isn’t your cup of tea, you can catch the game on one of the many affiliates of the Red Sox Radio Network.

Clay Buchholz makes his 12th start of the season this afternoon in Game 1. He is 5-3 with a 3.92 ERA and is riding a 3-game winning streak. He’s faced the Rays once this season and is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA (1 ER/6.0 IP). He’s made three career starts against the Rays and is 2-1 with a 2.79 ERA.

Mr. Red Sox killer Matt Garza makes his 29th start of the season and is 7-9 with a 3.85 ERA. This will be his sixth start against the Red Sox and he is 2-0 with a 2.55 ERA. In eleven career regular season starts, Garza is 5-1 with a 3.18 ERA. He is Is 3-1, 3.60 ERA in five career starts at Fenway Park.
