Spring is in the air here in Connecticut as the temperatures reach into the 50’s today and spring training games are alive and well in Florida for the Boston Red Sox.

Today, the Red Sox will play two games as they send a split-squad to Port Charlotte to take on the Tampa Bay Rays. The other split-squad will stay at City of Palms Park to take on the Minnesota Twins in Game 3 of the Mayor’s Cup. The series currently stands at 1-1.

Against the Rays, Felix Doubront will make the start. He’ll be followed by Adam Mills, Kyle Weiland and Fabio Castro. John Lackey will make his Red Sox spring training debut against the Twins in Ft. Myers. He’ll be followed by Michael Bowden, Manny Delcarmen, Brian Shouse, Joe Nelson and Junichi Tazawa.
