After taking two-of-three from the Tampa Bay Rays over the weekend, the Boston Red Sox enjoyed a day off on the west coast yesterday. Tonight, they kick-off a 6-game road trip with 3 games in Anaheim against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Tonight’s game will start at 10:05 PM and the game will be televised on NESN. And if the television isn’t your cup of tea, you can catch the game on one of the many affiliates of the Red Sox Radio Network.

Justin Masterson makes what should be his final start before the return of Daisuke Matsuzaka to the Red Sox rotation. In 8 games (4 starts), Masterson is 2-2 with a 5.28 ERA. He has faced the Angels once this season out of the bullpen and has no record with a 27.00 ERA (3 ER in 1 inning). In his career against the Halos, he has no record with a 5.06 ERA in 4 games (1 start).

Mike Scioscia hands the ball to Jered Weaver tonight. In 6 starts this season, Weaver is 3-1 with a 2.66 ERA. He has faced the Sox once this season giving up 1 run (unearned) in 6 2/3 innings. In 8 career starts, Weaver is 2-2 with a 4.46 ERA.
