After a tough loss last night, the Boston Red Sox get set to do battle with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in Game 2 of their ALDS.

Tonight’s game, scheduled to start at 9:37 PM, will be broadcast nationally on TBS. NESN Red Sox play-by-play man Don Orsillo will have the call while Buck Martinez will handle the color commentary. And if the television isn’t your cup of tea, you can catch the game on one of the many affiliates of the Red Sox Radio Network.

Mr. Soxtober Josh Beckett is on the bump for Terry Francona and the Red Sox tonight. Beckett did face the Angels twice in 2009 and was 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA. He’s made eight career starts against the Angels and is 2-3 with a 4.13 ERA. In three career regular season starts in Anaheim, he is 1-2 with a 4.05 ERA. In his career, he is 7-2 in thirteen appearances (twelve starts) with a 2.90 ERA in the postseason. Beckett has not lost a postseason game since Game 3 of the 2003 World Series going 6-0 with a 3.04 ERA in eight starts. Seven of those starts have come in a Red Sox uniform where he is 5-0 and has allowed 18 runs in 44 1/3 innings.

Angels skipper Mike Scioscia hands the ball to Jered Weaver in Game 2. Weaver has made two career postseason appearances (one start) against the Red Sox and is 1-1 with a 2.57 ERA. In eight career games against the Red Sox, he is 2-2 with a 3.99 ERA.
