Vanderbilt’s David Price was selected Number 1 overall in the MLB’s 2007 first year player draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Price is a 6’5″, 215lb left handed power pitcher was the consensus college player of the year. Many experts feel that Price, who has pitched in the highly competitive SEC as well as for Team USA, is projected to be fast tracked to the majors and expected to be on the 25 man roster sometime in 2008.
