UConn Huskies freshman Ater Majok can breathe a little easier tonight as the NCAA Clearinghouse gave him partial eligibility.
Unfortunately for him that means he can’t play this season but he will be able to practice with the team. He’ll be eligible to play for the Huskies at the end of the fall semester in 2009.
It’s been a long time coming for a decision on Majok but it’s one he’ll accept.
“It’s good but it’s bad,” Majok said. “It’s bad because I don’t get to play [immediately] but it’s good because I can get acclimated. I’ll practice and get to know the team.”
Majok will not be able to travel with the team but can sit on the bench during all home games.
