Before the Boston Red Sox head to Oakland to take on the A’s in a 3-game set, they still have one game left with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

It’s been an emotional weekend in Anaheim for both teams but more so the Angels. They have been nothing but professional in dealing with the tragic events of Thursday morning and once again I offer my condolences to the Adenhart, Stewart and Pearson families, friends of the trio as well as the Angels organization. I’d also like to take a moment and send well wishes to Jon Wilhite and hope that he continues on the path to recovery.

In the finale, Terry Francona hands the pelota to one of his aces in Josh Beckett. He has faced the Angels 6 times in his career and is 2-2 with a 3.99 ERA. Beckett is 1-1 with a 3.21 ERA in 2 regular season starts at Angel Stadium.

Dustin Moseley gets the nod this afternoon for the Angels. He has made 2 appearances (1 start)  against the Red Sox in his young career and has no record with an 8.10 ERA.
