The Big East Conference is holding it’s annual Media Day once again in Newport, RI and they kicked off the festivities on Tuesday by announcing the 2012 Big East Football Preseason Media Poll.
Our UConn Huskies football team has been picked to finish 6th in the eight team league. The Louisville Cardinals are predicted to win the conference.
Given that the Huskies are in the same predicament as last year with no starting QB yet, this is a not a surprise. However, I do think UConn might sneak up on some teams this year given the strength of their defense.
And if Lyle McCombs can carry over the success from his freshman campaign running the ball, there’s no telling how far the Huskies can go this season.
