After taking game one last night, the Boston Red Sox look to take game two of this four-game set this afternoon at Yankee Stadium.
This afternoon’s game will start at 4:05 p.m. and will be shown to 86% of the country on FOX. If you can’t catch the television broadcast, you can always listen to the game on the 2010 Red Sox radio network especially since it’s Joe Buck and Tim McCarver on the television call.
John Lackey looks to rebound for a poor performance his last time out in his 23rd start of the season. In his previous 22 starts, Lackey is 10-6 with a 4.48 ERA. He’s made one start against the Yankees in 2010 taking a no decision back on April 7th when he allowed no runs over six innings. Overall in his career, he’s made 17 starts against the Yankees and is 5-7 with a 4.40. Lackey has made eight career starts in New York and is 3-3 with a 3.76 ERA.
Proud new papa for the fourth time CC Sabathia will toe the Yankee Stadium rubber this afternoon for Joe Girardi. CC has made 23 starts this season and is 13-5 with a 3.19 ERA. He’s made three starts against the Red Sox in 2010 and has no decisions in all three with a 4.76 ERA. He’s made fourteen career starts against the Red Sox and is 5-5 with a 3.56 ERA.
