Late Morning Red Sox Delight – 4/15

After a nice effort from John Lackey on Wednesday afternoon, the Boston Red Sox look to gain another series victory, this time against the Minnesota Twins.

This afternoon’s game will start at 1:10 p.m. and will be shown on NESN in the Red Sox television market. The game can be seen in the Twins television market on FOX Sports North. If you can’t catch the television broadcast, you can always listen to the game on the 2010 Red Sox radio network.

Tim Wakefield looks to get closer to Cy Young and Rogers Clemens on the all-time Red Sox wins list for Terry Francona. Wake has made one start in 2010 as he allowed two runs in seven innings against the Royals picking up a no decision. He made one start against the Twins getting the win after giving up a run in seven innings. He’s made 26 appearances (23 starts) against the Twins in his career and is 14-5 with a 4.16 ERA and two saves. He made 12 career starts at the Metrodome and was 7-4 with a 4.54 ERA.

Francisco Liriano looks to prevent the Red Sox from getting their first series win in Minnesota since 2007. He’s made two career starts against the Red Sox, with both coming in 2009, and is 0-2 with a 13.50 ERA.
