In just a little bit, Curt Schilling will make his first important start at Yankee Stadium since the bloody sock game in 2004. Chien-Mien Wang will start for the Yankees as they look to sweep the Red Sox and cut the lead to 5 in the AL East. The Sox will be without the services of one Manny Ramirez, as he is sidelined indefinitely with a strained oblique. This is a pivotal game for the Red Sox who have lost momentum since last weekend’s shellacking of the White Sox. The Sox offense has seemed to have disappeared and their starting pitching hasn’t been that great. They need a win so that the Yankees don’t think they have a chance of actually winning the division.
Here a look at the lineups for today’s 1:05 PM start.
