Today, a former pair of Florida Marlins take the mound in a matchup on FOX at 4:10 PM. You can also catch the game on the radio on one of the many affiliates of the Red Sox Radio Network.
Other than when he was with the Marlins in the World Series back in 2003, Josh Beckett hasn’t really done anything too great against the Yankees. In 12 career starts, Beckett is 7-4 with a 5.33 ERA. He is coming off a 5-game suspension for throwing at former Yankee Bobby Abreu, now with the Angels, a few weeks ago.
A.J. Burnett has been a Red Sox killer throughout his career and will look to put an end to Red Sox’ 8-game winning streak. He is 5-0 with a 2.56 ERA in 8 career starts against the Red Sox.
