Some of the men’s college basketball accolades are starting to come out as UConn Huskies center Hasheem Thabeet was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) District 5 First Team. His frontcourt mate Jeff Adrien was named to the District 5 Second Team.
By being named to the NABC All-District Team, they are now are now eligible for the State Farm Coaches’ Division I All-America teams to be announced on Saturday, April 4, at Hoop City in the COBO Center at 10 a.m. as part of the 2009 NABC Convention in Detroit.
Here is a look at the District 5 First and Second Teams:
