The Big East Conference announced some of the Women’s Basketball Regular Season Awards this afternoon and UConn’s big three of Renee Montomgery, Tina Charles and Maya were named to the All-Big East First Team. Freshman Tiffany Hayes was named to the All-Big East Freshman Team.
Montgomery was also named the winner of the Big East Sportsmanship Award.
The Big East Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year will be announced tomorrow afternoon at the XL Center at 5 PM.
