If the wind is blowing to right field and a pitcher makes a mistake, you’re usually in for a long afternoon at Yankee Stadium.
That’s exactly what happened to the Boston Red Sox as the New York Yankees hit five home runs in their 7-4 win on Saturday afternoon.
Brian McCann hit two home runs. Carlos Beltran, Alfonso Soriano and Kelly Johnson had the others for the victors. Four of those home runs came off of Red Sox starter John Lackey who took his first loss of the season.
A.J. Pierzynski had two hits including a two-run homer off of Yanks starter Hiroki Kuroda. Mike Carp had the other RBIs for the Red Sox with a two-run single in the 7th.
