As we already know, UConn Huskies football coach Bob Diaco has said he wants to have his starting quarterback locked down by August 18 as the team begins its preparations for the season opener against BYU on Friday, August 29 at Rentschler Field.
The competition is still between Tim Boyle, Casey Cochran and Chandler Whitmer.
Whitmer started the 2013 season as the QB and went 0-4. Boyle followed him by going 0-4. Cochran finished up the season 3-1 winning his last three games.
As of Monday, August 11th, the competition between the three is wide open.
