There are plenty of reasons why the UConn women’s basketball team has been successful this season. One of the big ones though is the play of Morgan Tuck.
Tuck missed most of last season after tearing her ACL and spent the season on the bench but was around the team. This season, she’s returned with a vengeance and brought her play to another level.
And her play hasn’t gone unnoticed by her teammates, head coach and opposing coaches in the American Athletic Conference. She’s twice been named the American Player of the Week and after last week’s game against Temple, former Husky assistant and current Temple head coach Tonya Cardoza spoke about Tuck being a difference maker.
Watch and/or listen below as Cardoza, UConn head coach Geno Auriemma, Tuck and teammate Breanna Stewart talk about her play this season.
Tuck and the UConn Huskies are back in action tonight when they’ll take on the Central Florida Knights in Orlando at 7 p.m. The game will be televised locally on SNY.
