For those of you heading to the Insurance City Open Sammy Davis, Jr Greater Hartford Open Canon Greater Hartford Open Greater Hartford Open Buick Championship Travelers Championship, you won’t be seeing Phil Mickelson this week.
Lefty was told not to have any golf related activities for the next few weeks while his injured left wrist heals. Phil’s last event was the US Open at Oakmont where he failed to make the cut after making it in his past 30 majors.
Lefty usually plays well at the TPC at River Highlands Course in Cromwell. He last won there in 2002, having defended his championship from 2001.
Connecticut native J.J. Henry will be back to defend his title.
