The Charlotte Bobcats led by Jason Richardson’s 34 points beat the Boston Celtics 95-83 Wednesday night at the TD BankNorth Garden.

Rondo runs over Wallace - AP PhotoOn a night when the team never really seemed to have it and were playing without Ray Allen and Glenn Davis, they had 17 turnovers in helping give the game to Charlotte. It was Boston’s 4th loss of the season against 29 wins. Charlotte improved to 13-21.

Boston which shot only 41% from the floor were led by Kevin Garnett who had 24 points and 8 rebounds, Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo each had 13 points in a losing effort.

In addition to Richardson, Nazr Mohammed had 18 points, Raymond Felton had 16 and Gerald Wallace had 15 for the Cats. UConn grad Emeka Okafor had 8 points and 3 rebounds.

Pierce and Garnett felt that the team wasn’t as strong defensively as they have been recently and that it cost the team in the long run tonight.

The Celtics play the New Jersey Nets on Friday at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford.
