The New England Patriots announced that recently acquired WR Chad Ochocinco and DT Albert Haynesworth both restructured their contracts.
Ochocinco was scheduled to make $6 million this season and he will now make $1 million in 2011, and $3 million in both 2012 and 2013. In addition in all three seasons he is to get a prorated $1.5 million roster bonus.
Haynesworth was scheduled to make $5.4 million this season but he restructured it down to a $1.5 million base with no bonus. He is scheduled to make $6.7million 2012 with a $400,000 roster bonus. It appears with his potential hit to the cap Haynesworth may only be a one-year project but that remains to be seen.
