PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for the week ending Nov. 30.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Corey Allen Jr. • Sr. • G • USF

Allen averaged 23.5 points and shot 18-of-28 from the field (.643) and 7-of-10 (.700) from 3-point range in a 2-0 week for the Bulls. He scored a team-high 18 points with four rebounds in a 71-70 come-from-behind win against Hofstra, while he poured in a career-high 29 points with four assists, three rebounds and two steals in a 79-65 win against Jacksonville. Allen ranks third in the American Athletic Conference in scoring this season (15.8 ppg) and has helped USF to its best start through six games since the 2009-10 season.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

B.J. Tyson • Fr. • G • East Carolina

Tyson averaged 16.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in four games in which he shot .514 from the field (19-of-37) and .793 from the free throw line (23-of-29). He scored 22 points, going 11-of-11 from the line, in a 58-52 win against Fresno State and had 24 in a 75-73 loss to Hawaii. Tyson is second in The American in scoring, averaging 16.0 points per game.

Averaged 12.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in a 2-0 week.
