If your a college athlete, is this how you spend your Friday night. Do you spend it riding around in your SUV getting high and carrying around hallucinogenic mushrooms? The two players from Gonzaga, Josh Heytvelt and Theo Davis, were arrested after a traffic stop in which their taillights weren’t working. The officers smelt the maryjane from the car and searched the vehicle, only to find the mushrooms. They were arrested for the investigation of drug possession. According to Washington state law, the pot found was only enough for a misdemeanor drug charge while the possession of the ‘shrooms is a felony. Heytvelt is the second leading scorer for the Bulldogs while Davis is red-shirting this season after preseason shoulder surgery. Both players have been suspended indefinitely by the team. I’d say put Gonzaga down for an NIT bid now as losing their second leading scorer could hurt their chances of making a run into the NCAA’s. Also makes me wonder, did Adam Morrison smoke pot with them last season, hence his hippie look. TechnoratiTechnorati: ,
