The NCAA college basketball polls are out for the first time since the preseason and the UConn Huskies men’s basketball team still finds themselves as the No. 4 team in the country in both polls.
The North Carolina Tar Heels are No. 1 in both polls and the top five from the preseason is still the same. The Tar Heels are followed by the Kentucky Wildcats, Ohio State Buckeyes, UConn and Syracuse Orange.
Joining the Huskies and Orange in the top 25 from the Big East are the Louisville Cardinals (8/7), Pittsburgh Panthers (9/9), Cincinnati Bearcats (20/20) and the Marquette Golden Eagles (21/19).
The Villanova Wildcats and West Virginia Mountaineers are the only Big East schools among the others receiving votes in both polls. The Georgetown Hoyas and St. John’s Red Storm are among the others receiving votes in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Top 25.
