The NCAA men’s basketball rankings are out for the week and it should come to no one’s surprise that the UConn Huskies are not ranked in either poll. In fact, they are playing for their NCAA Tournament life over the final four games of the season.
The Kentucky Wildcats remain as the No. 1 team in both polls. They are followed by the Syracuse Orange, Missouri Tigers, Kansas Jayhawks and Duke Blue Devils (puke) in the AP Poll. In the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, the top three is the same as the AP but Duke (puke again) is No. 4 and Kansas No. 5.
Joining the Orange from the Big East in the top 25 are the Georgetown Hoyas (9/8), Marquette Golden Eagles (10/10), Louisville Cardinals (17/17) and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (20/18).
There are no teams from the Big East among the others receiving votes in either poll.
