The NCAA men’s basketball rankings are out and as expected with the two losses last week, the UConn Huskies have dropped in the polls. They fell nine spots in the AP Poll to No. 17 and eight spots in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll to No. 16.
The Syracuse Orange remain as the No. 1 team in the land and with some shuffling in the top 10, the top five of each poll is the same. The Orange are followed by the Kentucky Wildcats, North Carolina Tar Heels, Baylor Bears and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Joining the Orange and Huskies in the top 25 from the Big East are the Georgetown Hoyas (11/11), Louisville Cardinals (14/15) and Marquette Golden Eagles (25/24).
The Seton Hall Pirates are ranked No. 24 in the AP Poll but are the third team among the others receiving votes in the coaches poll. The West Virginia Mountaineers are among the others receiving votes in both polls.
