HARTFORD, November 13, 2014: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld today announced two Wolf Pack roster moves.
Forward Chris McCarthy has been reassigned by the parent New York Rangers to the Wolf Pack from its ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Road Warriors, and the Wolf Pack has loaned defenseman Steve Spinell to Greenville.
Since being assigned to the Road Warriors October 22, McCarthy, a rookie out of the University of Vermont, has skated in eight ECHL games, scoring two goals and adding four assists for six points, while serving four minutes in penalties. . Last year McCarthy joined the Wolf Pack after the conclusion of his college career and played in eight games, scoring one goal and serving one minor penalty. In 38 games at UVM in 2013-14, he posted totals of 18-24-42, with 12 PIM. McCarthy signed with the Rangers as a free agent March 31, 2014.
Spinell has suited up for all 12 of the Wolf Pack’s games thus far, going scoreless with 15 penalty minutes and seven shots on goal. A second-year pro from Miami University, Spinell was signed to an AHL contract by the Wolf Pack August 5, 2014.
The Wolf Pack are back in action tomorrow night, Friday, November 14, when they host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the XL Center in a 7:00 PM game. Once again this season, every Friday night home game features $1 hot dogs and $2 beers through the start of the second period.
