HARTFORD, October 11, 2012:  AEG Management CT today announced several television and video initiatives, which will give Connecticut Whale fans numerous opportunities to view a wide variety of Whale content.  These shows and videos will be available on multiple platforms, including mobile.

CT WhaleFirst, AEG Management CT and CPTV Sports will collaborate on a weekly “Whale TV Replay”, which will offer fans numerous windows to catch Whale action on CPTV Sports.  Every Tuesday night during the Whale season, CPTV sports will air, in prime time, an edited re-broadcast of a recent Whale home game.  Additionally, each week’s edition of Whale TV Replay will receive multiple re-airings, ensuring that fans can catch the telecast no matter what their viewing schedule happens to be.

Also, Blueline Video Group will produce, in conjunction with AEG Management CT, a weekly on-line TV program called “CT Whale Insider”.  This fast-paced show, hosted by the voice of the Whale, Bob Crawford, will provide viewers with behind-the-scenes features and exclusive content never before available to Hartford hockey fans.  Segments will include: “Whale Week in Review”, “One on One with Bob Crawford”, “Around the AHL”, “On the Road with the Whale”, “It all Starts Here” and more.  The show will debut Thursday, October 18 and will be available exclusively at the Whale’s official website, www.ctwhale.com.

This season’s premiere of Whale TV Replay is scheduled for Tuesday, October 23, with the start time still to be determined, but to be announced soon.  That October 23 telecast will be a re-broadcast of the Whale’s season opener, which is this Friday, October 12, an XL Center battle with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

CPTV Sports is available on Comcast Cable channels 185, 187 or 744; Cox Cable channel 805; Charter Cable channel 233 in Eastern Connecticut and 234 in Western Connecticut; Cablevision channel 139; Metrocast channel 418 and Thames River channel 87.

The Whale open their 2012-13 season this Friday, October 12 at the XL Center, with a 7:30 PM battle against their in-state rivals the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.  At that game, all fans can purchase tickets at the special price of $12 each, and that night will also kick off the Whale’s new Friday night $1 hot dogs and $2 beers promotion.
