After becoming the No. 1 consensus team in the land of college football again in last week’s poll, the Florida State Seminoles have been dethroned and they didn’t even lose last week. The new consensus No. 1 team is now the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs are followed by Florida State, the Ole Miss Rebels, Baylor Bears and Notre Dame Fighting Irish in both polls.
The East Carolina Pirates remain the only ranked team from the American Athletic Conference as they come in at 18/16. And for the second straight week, there are no teams from the American among the others receiving votes.
