For the fourth straight week, the Mississippi State Bulldogs remain as the No. 1 team in both the AP and Amway Coaches Polls.
They are followed by the Florida State Seminoles, Oregon Ducks, Alabama Crimson Tide and TCU Horned Frogs in the AP Poll. In the Amway Coaches Poll, the top five is the same as the AP with the exception of Alabama being third and Oregon fourth.
As you would expect, there are no teams from the American Athletic Conference ranked this week. However, the East Carolina Pirates and Cincinnati Bearcats are among the others receiving votes in the Coaches Poll.
We’ll have the College Football Playoff Rankings Poll when it’s announced on Tuesday.
