The 2012 AP Preseason Top 25 for college football came out and unlike the USA Today Coaches Poll, there is actually a Big East team ranked in the top 25.

AP PollThe Louisville Cardinals, who were picked to win the Big East, are ranked No. 25 by the media.

The AP Poll features a different team at the top as well as the USC Trojans were picked by the media members as the preseason No. 1 team. They are followed by the Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, Oklahoma Sooners and Oregon Ducks.

The South Florida Bulls and Cincinnati Bearcats are the only teams from the Big East among the others receiving votes.
