I missed the preseason poll and probably would have had either LSU or Alabama No. 1. Obviously LSU lost the Honey Badger so I couldn’t vote them No.1, especially after watching the performances of Alabama and USC.
I gave the No. 1 nod to Alabama because I feel their win over Michigan was more impressive than USC’s over Hawaii. That’s based on the level of competition.
West Virginia will be a team to watch in their first season in the Big 12. The offense looks much improved from last season.
