AP & USA Today Coaches' Polls

The final regular season rankings are out for college football and after their come-from-behind win in the SEC Championship, the LSU Tigers finish the season as the No. 1 team and will definitely being playing for the BCS National Championship on January 9, 2012 in New Orleans, LA.

If the polls are any indication, they’ll be playing the Alabama Crimson Tide who are No. 2 in both polls. But we won’t know until the final BCS standings come out tonight.

LSU and Alabama are followed by Oklahoma State, Stanford and USC in the AP Poll. In the USA Today Coaches’ Poll, they are followed by Oklahoma State, Stanford and Oregon.

The West Virginia Mountaineers are the only team from the Big East ranked in both polls at 23/22. The Cincinnati Bearcats are ranked No. 24 in the coaches’ poll and are among the others receiving votes in the AP Poll.

The Louisville Cardinals are among the others receiving votes in the AP Poll while the Rutgers Scarlet Knights are among the others receiving votes in the coaches’ poll.
