7th straight win for the Celtics: Paul Pierce had 27 points and 10 rebounds to help the Boston Celtics to a big 90-80 win over the Orlando Magic in Orlando. Kevin Garnett had 16 points as did Glen “Big Baby” Davis. Former UConn Husky Ray Allen added 12 points for the Celtics (36-9). The Magic (33-9) were led by Hedo Turkoglu who had 22 points. Rashard Lewis chipped in with 21 points and 10 rebounds while Jameer Nelson had 17 points. The leading vote getter in the NBA All-Star Game Dwight Howard had 11 points and 11 rebounds. The game was so big that Tiger Woods made an appearance at Amway Arena. The Celtics will enjoy some time off until Sunday when the Dallas Mavericks come to the TD BankNorth Garden for a 1 PM tip.
