Jake Peavy (L), Ricky Nolasco (R)

After taking two-of-three in Texas and then a day off on Monday, the Boston Red Sox continue their road trip tonight with the first game of a three-game set against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.

First pitch is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. The game will be broadcast on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the Twins television market, you can catch the game on Fox Sports North. And if you can’t catch the game on television, you can always listen on the 2014 Red Sox Radio Network.

Jake Peavy toes the slab for the eighth time in 2014. In his previous seven starts, Peavy is 1-1 with a 3.07 ERA. He was 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA (3 ER/14 IP) against the Twins last season. In 13 career starts against them, he is 7-3 with a 2.84 ERA. Six of those starts have come at Target Field where he is 5-1 with a 1.74 ERA.

Ricky Nolasco makes his eighth start of the 2014 season as well. In his previous seven starts, Nolasco is 2-3 with a 5.64 ERA. He picked up the win in his only start of 2013 against the Red Sox as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers. In that start, he allowed no runs and just two hits over eight innings. He’s made four career starts against the visiting nine and is 2-2 with a 5.24 ERA.
