During his weekly radio show on WTIC 1080-AM with Joe D’Ambrosio, UConn Huskies head coach Bob Diaco said that quarterback Casey Cochran is out for Saturday’s game against the Stony Brook Seawolves.
Chandler Whitmer will start and most likely get all of the snaps against the Seawolves. Diaco did state that Tim Boyle could play should Whitmer go down with an injury.
That will be an interesting situation to watch as Diaco did say when he announced the starting quarterbacks that he would like to redshirt Boyle this season if at all possible. He also said he wouldn’t hesitate to play him if need be.
