Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) announced this afternoon that they will be covering a minimum of 19 UConn Huskies women’s basketball games for the 16th straight year.
They will be broadcasting a total of 9 home games and 10 road games. Unfortunately as of right now, they will not be broadcasting the three games that the Huskies will play in the Caribbean Classic (December 18-21).
The full list of games can be seen on our 2008-09 UConn women’s basketball schedule page.
Bob Picozzi will be back doing the play-by-play and Meghan Culmo returns to the color commentary.
CPTV also announced a special call-in show entitled “The Geno Auriemma Show: You Make the Call” that will air live on Thursday, November 13th at 8 PM. “The Geno Auriemma Show” will be taped during the regular season and will be shown before the games.
“CPTV and the UConn Women’s Basketball Program have been synonymous during the past fifteen years. Success, both on and off the court, has been brought to hundreds of thousands of loyal fans here in Connecticut and around the country. The special relationship that our program enjoys with CPTV is unmatched anywhere in college basketball. Like my team, CPTV is the best in the world,” said Auriemma.
If you do not live in Connecticut but are still interested in getting the games on CPTV, I highly suggest you check out Hoop Streams. The cost for the season is $49.95, a monthly subscription is $24.95 and the one game option is $9.95.
