STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut currently has 21 former players on NFL rosters as league training camps open across the nation this week.

The players range from quarterback Dan Orlovsky, who is entering his tenth NFL season and is back with his original team in the Detroit Lions, to drafted rookies Yawin Smallwood with the Atlanta Falcons and Shamar Stephen with the Minnesota Vikings.
