After falling in the opener of the day/night doubleheader, the Boston Red Sox look to take the rubber game of a three-game set tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays at Fenway Park.
Game two first pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. The game will be broadcast on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the Rays market, you can catch the game on Sun Sports. If you don’t live in either market you’re in luck as the MLB Network will have coverage of the game. And if you can’t catch the game on television, you can always listen on the 2014 Red Sox Radio Network.
Felix Doubront makes his sixth start of 2014 in the nightcap. In his five previous starts, Doubront is 1-3 with a 6.00 ERA. He made four starts against the Rays in 2013 and was 0-2 with a 2.55 ERA. He’s made 11 career appearances (eight starts) against them and is 2-3 with a 3.24 ERA. Four of those starts have come at the Fens where he is 0-2 with a 3.28 ERA.
Chris Archer toes the rubber for the sixth time in 2014. In his previous five starts, Archer is 2-1 with a 4.11 ERA. He made two starts against the Red Sox in 2013 and was 0-2 with a 5.19 ERA (5 ER/8.2 IP). He’s made three career starts against them and is 1-2 with a 5.27 ERA. He took the loss in his lone Fens start after allowing four runs (three earned) in 4.2 innings of work.

Drake Britton has been recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket for the game. He is not replacing anyone as he is the 26th man allowed by MLB rules for doubleheaders. He will return to the PawSox after the game.
