After splitting the first two games, the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees do battle this afternoon in game three of a four-game set at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. The game will be broadcast on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the Yankees market, you can catch the game on YES. If you don’t live in either market you’re in luck as the Fox Sports 1 will have coverage of the game. And if you can’t catch the game on television, you can always listen on the 2014 Red Sox Radio Network.

John Lackey makes his third start of 2014 this afternoon. In his previous two starts, Lackey is 2-0 with a 1.38 ERA (2 ER/13 IP). He made four starts against the Yankees in 2013 and was 2-1 with a 5.76 ERA. In 27 career starts against them, he is 10-10 with a 4.84 ERA. 11 of those starts have come in the Bronx where he is 4-4 with a 4.71 ERA.

Hiroki Kuroda also hits the hill for the third time in 2014. In his previous two starts, Kuroda is 1-1 with a 2.92 ERA (4 ER/12.1 IP). In six starts against the Red Sox in 2013, he went 1-4 with a 4.88 ERA. He’s made 12 career starts against the visiting nine and is 3-5 with a 4.05 ERA. 11 of those starts have come with the Yankees where he is 3-4 with a 4.21 ERA. And six of those starts have come at Yankee Stadium where he is 2-2 with a 3.03 ERA.
