With the St. Louis Cardinals beating the Washington Nationals 3-2 and the San Francisco Giants coming back to take the series 3-2 against the Cincinnati Reds, the matchup is set for the 2012 National League Championship Series.
The Giants won the NL West and are the third seeded team so they will have home field advantage in the NLCS. The National League holds home field advantage in the World Series by virtue of their win in the 2012 MLB All-Star Game at Kauffman Stadum in Kansas City, MO back in July.
