Television:
Saturday’s game with be televised nationally by ESPNU, which is now offered in HDTV.
Dave Armstrong is on play-by-play while former Miami (Fla.) head coach Larry Coker provides color and Todd Jones is the producer.
Radio:
For the 17th consecutive season, WTIC 1080-AM in Hartford serves as the flagship station for the UConn Radio Network. WTIC is the state’s only 50,000 watt signal and can be heard in 23 states and parts of Canada. Veteran UConn announcers Joe D’Ambrosio (play-by-play) and Wayne Norman (color commentary) return to call the action with Kevin Nathan on the sidelines.
The UConn pregame show begins 90 minutes prior to kickoff and is hosted by Bob Joyce. Nathan will also serve as a features producer for “UConn Football Magazine,” the halftime show, and also play host to a post-game call-in show after home games with Joyce filling that role for road contests. Temple Radio: The games is available on WPHT 1210 AM in Philadelphia. Harry Donahue does the play-by-play and Steve Joachim is the analyst. You can listen to them online as well.

The Huskies opened up the season with a 35-3 win over the Hofstra Pride while the Owls opened their season with a 35-7 thrashing of the Army Black Knights.
History:
The Huskies and Owls have played 10 times with the Owls holding a 7-3 advantage. The Huskies took the matchup last year 22-17 at Rentschler Field. The last time the Huskies played Temple in Philadelphia back in 2001, they got beat 56-7.
Connections:
UConn assistant coach Scott Lakatos and Temple’s Mark D’Onofrio were both on the Rutgers staff from 2001-03.
UConn has five players from the Philadelphia area — Greg Robinson (Philadelphia, Pa.), C.J. Marck (Newtown, Pa.), Alex Polito (Reading, Pa.), Kashif Moore (Burlington, N.J.) and Ryan Wirth (Medford, N.J.).
Temple features eight players from the state of Connecticut – Colin Clancy (Stonington), Dy’Onne Crudup (New Haven), Alex Joseph (Stamford), Elijah and Elisha Joseph (Hartford), Terrance Knighton (Windsor), James Nixon (New Haven) and Brian Sanford (Hartford).
Temple head coach Al Golden is a graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School in Red Bank, N.J., which is also the alma mater for UConn junior TB Donald Brown. Golden served as the school’s offensive coordinator during the 1993 season before moving into the collegiate coaching ranks.

Weather is going to play a huge factor in the game on Saturday as Tropical Storm Hanna is expected to make her way up the east coast on Friday and Saturday. Expect monsoon like conditions as well as high winds.
