The NCAA men’s basketball rankings are out and the UConn Huskies have moved up one spot in both polls to start the new year as the No. 8 team.
The Syracuse Orange remain No. 1 but after that, there are changes to the top five in both polls. In the AP Poll, the Orange are followed by Kentucky, North Carolina, Baylor and Duke. In the Coaches Poll, they are followed by Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina and Baylor.
Joining the Orange and Huskies in the top 25 from the Big East are the Georgetown Hoyas (9/9), Louisville Cardinals (11/10) and Marquette Golden Eagles (20/20).
After dropping out of both polls, the Pittsburgh Panthers are among the others receiving votes in both polls. The Seton Hall Pirates are also among the others receiving votes in both polls as well.
