The teams for the 2011 American League Division Series are set as the New York Yankees (AL East Champs), Detroit Tigers (AL Central Champs), Texas Rangers (AL West Champs) and Tampa Bay Rays (AL Wild Card) have all qualified for the 2011 MLB postseason.
The Yankees finished with the best record in the American League and will have home field advantage all the way through the ALCS. The National League holds home field advantage in the World Series by virtue of their win in the 2011 MLB All-Star Game at Chase Field In Phoenix, AZ back in July.
The matchups are set as well as the Yankees take on the Tigers while the Rangers will take on the Rays.
