I am beginning to think that Peter Abraham of the Journal News is the hardest working man in the media. He’s been in the zone during these past few weeks.

Early this morning at 12:32 AM, Abraham reported that Joe Torre has accepted a 3 year $15 million deal from the Los Angeles Dodgers to become their next manager. It also seems as though Donnie Baseball (Don Mattingly), Larry Bowa and perhaps Lee Mazzilli will be joining Torre in Tinseltown.

An official announcement should come by Thursday. For those who don’t know, Mattingly’s son Preston plays in the Dodgers minor league system.

If you missed Torre on Letterman this week, you missed a witty Torre. Here is it for you after the jump.
