After beating Tulsa (who was in first place at the time) at home by 25 points on February 12th, the Huskies dropped a road game by 18 points at the first place SMU Mustangs on Valentine’s Day.
The Huskies had a five day break to gear up for their final stretch run. They cannot afford two losses in their final six games. At 14-10 overall with a 7-5 conference record, the Huskies can still pick up quality wins before the AAC tournament. They face Memphis twice, host the conference leading Mustangs at home and end the regular season schedule at Temple.
Connecticut kicks off the final stretch with two games this week. They face the Memphis Tigers on the road on Thursday, February 19th and go back home to play Tulane at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion.
