The College Football Playoff Rankings committee has released their rankings for the fourth time in 2014 and for the first time, we have a new No. 1 team in the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Alabama jumped from No. 5 to No. 1 after beating now No. 4 Mississippi State. The Oregon Ducks and Florida State Seminoles remain at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively.
The TCU Horned Frogs drop from No. 4 to No. 5 and now are on the outside looking in at a big payday.
As you might have guessed, there are no teams from the American Athletic Conference ranked in the poll.
