Nelson Cruz‘s home run in the 7th inning helped the Baltimore Orioles to a 2-1 win over the Boston Red Sox at Oriole Park at Camden Yards to open the 2014 season.

Jon Lester made his fourth consecutive Opening Day start and took the loss. Grady Sizemore had two hits to lead the visiting nine and had his first home run in the big leagues since June of 2011.

Zach Britton picked up the win while Tommy Hunter got the save.
