After winning last night, the Boston Red Sox look to take the series this afternoon in the rubber game of a three-game set with the Arizona Diamondbacks at historic Fenway Park.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. The game will broadcast on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the Diamondbacks television market, you can catch the game on Fox Sports Arizona. And if you don't live in either market you're in luck as TBS will have coverage of the game (outside of Red Sox and Dbacks television markets). And if you can't catch the game on television, you can always listen on the 2013 Red Sox Radio Network.
Felix Doubront will put his spikes in the mound for his 20th start (21st appearance) of 2013. In his previous 20 appearances (19 starts), Doubront is 7-5 with a 3.77 ERA. Today will mark his first career start against the Diamondbacks.
Brandon McCarthy makes just his 12th start of 2013 for the Diamondbacks. In his previous 11 starts, McCarthy is 2-4 with a 5.00 ERA. He made two starts against the Red Sox in 2012 as a member of the Oakland A's and was 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA. He's made nine career appearances (six starts) against the local nine and is 3-3 with a 4.82 ERA. Four of those appearances (three starts) have come at the Fens where he is 2-2 with a 3.12 ERA.
