After falling last night 6-4, the Boston Red Sox look to make a statement in the middle game of a three-game set with the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. and the game will be broadcast to 72% of the country on FOX. If you can’t catch the television broadcast, you can always listen to it on the Red Sox radio network.

Jon Lester will toe the rubber for the 25th time in 2012. In his previous 24 starts, Lester is 6-10 with a 5.20 ERA. He’s made two starts against the Skanks this season and is 0-1 with a 6.97 ERA (8 ER/10.1 IP). Overall in his career, Lester has made 19 starts against the Evil Empire and is 8-4 with 4.42 ERA. 11 of those starts have come in the Bronx where he is 6-2 with a 3.95 ERA.

David Phelps makes just his fifth start but 24th appearance of 2012 for the Empire. In his previous 23 appearances (four starts), Phelps is 3-3 with a 2.53 ERA. The rookie’s only two career appearances against the Red Sox have come this season where he has no record with a 4.50 ERA (3 ER/6 IP).
